Standard for translation servicesLETS Communicate is working actively to adapt its processes to the new European standard for translation services. Translation agencies and authorities in Europe have jointly formulated a new standard for translation services. The standard is called SS-EN-15038 Translation Services and describes how a translation agency should work, step by step. Heike Leinhäuser, head of Leinhäuser und Partner, has actively participated in the German mirror committee working loosely together with the German standardisation institute, DIN. Eicom, Leinhäuser and Translator Scandinavia are adapting their procedures to this standard and see it as quality assurance for both clients and translators.
